Bishop McNamara Theatre is strengthened by the time and talents of parent volunteers. Without such generous parents, the theatre could not offer as many excellent opportunities to the students. The purpose of the Theatre Boosters is to organize the parent volunteers and ensure proper credit through the high school for parent volunteer hours. During each production and Thespian-sponsored activity, the Boosters will meet in order to discuss volunteer needs and opportunities. Examples of volunteer opportunities include chaperoning during dress rehearsals and performances, making dinners for dress rehearsals, costuming and make-up assistance, program design, lighting and sound design assistance, selling concessions during performances, operating the box office prior to performances, and, as always, set construction and painting. The Boosters also operates an email service so parents receive notification of meetings and important announcements. Click here if you would like to be added to the email service.
